The high precision carbonwebshop rods are pultruded rods and post milled to spec. This carbon rod is made with High Tension Uni-directional fibers and epoxy resin with a fiber fraction of +/- 65%.

The carbon rod precision line is available in different diameters from 1 to 15 mm. At this moment the diameters 3, 5, 8 and 12 can be ordered on our web shop. All other diameters can be purchased based on a minimum order quantity of 10.

The carbon cyclinder is made of High-Tension Uni-directional (UD) fibres with a fibre density in the finished product of app. 65%. The resin used is epoxy.

This material knows many kinds of applications like sports, hunting, machine building, and UAV’s. These are all instances where low weight, strength and stiffness is of high importance. The product is also exceedingly chemical-resistant and dimensionally stable. The product’s density is app. 0,6 gr/cm3

We calculate with a E-Modulus of 110GPa and Tensile-strength of 2,4 GPa.

Surface: Smooth outer diameter and high precision milled +/- 0,05 mm

During the pultrusion process thermosettingpolymers and reinforcing fibres are formed into a plastic profile. Reinforcement materials are soaked in liquid resin and then ruffed into the profile form.
Thereafter, the profile is put into a mold that hardens the resin so that it forms a whole with the reinforcement materials. The profile is then cut to the right length in the mold by a cutting unit.
