Carbon Fiber Rectangular Tubes
The carbon square tubes from CarbonWebshop are developed by drawing on years of experience with high-quality carbon fiber applications that need to be light, yet rigid and strong. At CarbonWebshop you can choose from two 2 types of square tubes with different fiber orientation and material composition.
Our Standard carbon rectangular tubes are laminated from pre-preg carbon fibers and epoxy resin. The outside has a twill weave with the well-known carbon look. The inside has a rough finish. The carbon fibers in the wall of the tubes are laminated in different directions. It gives the tubes a unique strength and rigidity at a minimal weight. When you look at the rate of flexure, these carbon tube profiles perform much better than aluminum alternatives. The standard square tubes have an outer diameter tolerance of +/- 0.3 mm and an inner diameter tolerance of +/- 0.5mm.

The High Precision rectangular carbon fiber tubes are laminated from prepreg carbon fibers and epoxy resin. They are characterized by their exact inner and outer dimensions, straigth corner (no radius) and a smooth inner surface (ideal to glue inserts). The outside has a twill weave with the familiar carbon look and the inside is finished smooth. The carbon fibers in the wall of the tubes are laminated in different directions. This gives the tubes a unique strength and rigidity at a minimal weight. When you look at the degree of deflection, these carbon tubes perform much better than metal alternatives. The High Precision tube profiles have a tolerance of 0.2mm.

The Standard and High Precision carbon fiber square tubes are available from stock multiple sizes up to 50x50mm (High Precision) and up to 2300mm long. For the construction of frames, the High Precision carbon tubes can be combined with the Refiflex® 25S and 40S connectors. Carbon square tubes are particularly suitable for making lightweight and rigid frames for structures that require minimal flexure and weight. Applications include calibration frames and devices, grippers, machine frames, all kinds of robotic end-of-arm tooling, medical devices and the automotive industry.
CarbonWebshop has its own range of carbon tubes in different diameters and wall thicknesses. We can also cut the tubes to size according to customer specifications and perform various finishing operations such as drilling and CNC milling.
